Howdy! This is the second pricing survey that I've done. The first pricing survey was done over a year ago, and it is time for a new one. Please read over the old pricing survey before proceeding, the new pricing survey will be much the same with only a few differences. By familiarizing yourself with the old survey you will better understand how to respond for this new survey.
This new survey will actually be an ongoing series of surveys, with semi-periodic updates. There are three essential pieces of information that you must provide, otherwise we can not use your submitted information. Those three necessary pieces of information for each of your reported parties are :
Since this is a pricing survey, then of course you must report the price. You may report the actual amount paid and the tip separately if you wish, but we will add the two together to get the total price paid.
Please tell us how long the session lasted, as accurately as you can recall. If you don't recall how long it lasted, then estimate it's length to the best of your ability. The actual center of the survey is not the total price, but the price per hour, so if you fail to provide an estimate of how long the session lasted, then we will not be able to use your submission.
The first pricing survey showed that sessions without vaginal intercourse (hand-jobs or blow-jobs) cost less per hour than sessions with vaginal intercourse. It is our intention to re-confirm this, so we require you to somehow indicate whether vaginal intercourse happend during your session.
The way you submit your session information is to e-mail it to me, Bashful, at "bashful@cyberpass.net". E-mail submission is not the only way this survey could be handled, and it is certainly not the easiest, but it is definitely the most accurate. Setting up an interactive, online cgi script would be much easier, but experience has shown that there are some people who love to submit bogus data to an interactive setup, people whose spam can be filtered out if the submissions are made by e-mail.
You may have noted that I keep saying "we". That is not the "royal we", there is nothing royal about myself. Instead, "we" here is meant to be myself, Bashful, and my friend and colleage in sin, Curious. There are only two people who will see your e-mail to myself, and that is (of course) me, and Curious. We, Curious and I, guarantee to protect your anonymity and privacy. Nobody but the two of us will know that you submitted data to this survey.
Now, I know that a lot of people get bent out of shape by the word "guarantee". Some people think that the word guarantee means "absolutely guarantee", with no exceptions ever. However, when I use the word guarantee, I mean that I will act in good faith to keep your identity (in this case e-mail address) secret, with the only exceptions being the hopefully unlikely attack by a hacker, and the high-handed coercive techniques used by our ever-more-fascist government. For instance, a few months ago Agent Dana Scully of the FBI pointed her gun at my forehead and demmanded that I provide her the e-mail address of the guy who had submitted the field report on that vampiress who used to work at The Sagebrush Ranch #2.
As for Curious, he used to frequent The Chicken Ranch, but now is an exclusive fan of the Tijuana scene, though he says that he will be attending the CWM2 meeting late this July. He has never seen the Reno/Carson City brothels, but he is active on the message board, and I've met him four times in Tijuana and several others have met him including Flyfisher, Renegade, and everyone's favorite geekette and punk-ass whore, Tessa. You can trust Curious as much as you can trust me, maybe even more. Feel free to e-mail Curious your submission if you know his e-mail address, but he will share every submission with me just as I will share every submission with him.
Okay. Do I have your attention? As was stated above, there are only three things that we absolutely need from you for each of your reported sessions, and those are the total price, the total time, and whether or not vaginal intercourse happened. We required those in the previous survey, and require them now. However, we would also like you to provide an optional piece of information, and that is to tell us which brothel the session happened at. What we would like to do is provide overall pricing rate averages for each of the brothels. This is something that we didn't do last time, but would now like to tackle provided enough data is gathered.
Feel free to provide any other information that you like. During the first survey several guys told me the names of the women that they had been with, though I had told them that they didn't need to. Most interesting! Other optional information that you may provide if you like is the date that the session happened, what her asking price was (if it was higher than the price she finally accepted), comments on the quality of her service, and so forth. Just understand that none of these other optional inputs will ever be made public, particularly the name of the lady. I try not to live dangerously!
I have received three questions concerning this survey, which I will now answer.
Question #1 : "How far back do I go with reporting my session information?"
Answer : Since the beginning of June, 1997.
Question #2 : "What if I've had several parties with the same girl, and I've always paid her the same amount? Do I only report it once, or as many times as I've been with her? Won't it skew the results of the survey if I include all such parties?"
Answer : Good question! I'm not sure what the best way is to answer this, but I've decided that if you have been with one particular lady two or more times, and you've paid her the exact same amount every time and every time the party was of the same length, then report it twice. So, it you've partied with Lady Q twelve times, always paid her $250, and each session lasted about forty-five minutes, then report it only twice. However, if you've partied with the same woman several times and the price and time have varied, then please report all such parties.
Question #3 : "Do we include 'off books' deals with the ladies or not."
Answer : This is a survey for activity within the brothels, tossing in sessions that happened outside the scope of the brothels (we're talking about illegal activity here) will skew the results, since I presume that on average guys pay about half for "off books" activity. Actually, I came rather close to saying yes to this question, provided it is clearly labeled as freelance activity, but for now I'd rather not mess with it. Besides, GP would probably not like it (typical lawyer).
So, here is how I see this ongoing pricing survey working. You will e-mail me a list of all your parties (or those that you wish to report on) since June 01, 1997, with for each party the total price paid (including tip), total time of the party (in hours and minutes, please be as exact on the total amount of time as you can), and whether or not vaginal intercourse was involved. Also, though it is optional, please indicate which brothel each session happened at.
Then, every weekend or so, I'll bundle up all the e-mail submissions and send them to Curious, who will enter them into a database of his choice, and process them and update the on-going analysis at his convenience. Curious will then create some sort of HTML document with the data in it, and e-mail it to me and I will then post it on GP's website.
It will be up to Curious to decide how often he wants to update the survey, he does have other things to do. The survey will tell the total number of participants, and the total number of sessions for all the participants. Histograms of the total prices paid, total party time, and price per hour will be posted, along with statistics such as averages and standard deviations. This will be done separately for vaginal intercourse parties and non-vaginal intercourse parties. Every couple of months or so, a comma-delimitered ASCII file of the raw data (price, time, price-per-hour) will be updated and made available for those of you who want to do your own analysis. The only additional information will be histograms and statistics for parties at the different brothels.
If you have other questions, then please feel free to ask me. The only way that this will work is if Curious and I keep both your identity and the identities of your ladies a secret. We may call upon others to help out in the analysis and creation of HTML documents and graphics, but only Curious and I will know your e-mail address.
Just one final note. I haven't yet run this by Curious, but we may provide an additional breakdown of the results by message board regular and lurker. There are those, I'm sure, that will consider the lurker results to be more accurate, but then there are those who will consider the message board regular results to be more accurate. We may provide separate analyses for these two groups, as well as a consolidated analysis.
