Executive Summary :
From May 25, 1998, to February 05, 1999, a total of 202 submitted sessions (which included vaginal intercourse) from 46 different customers showed that 90% of the sessions had a cost rate from $150 to $500 an hour, with average $301 an hour, median $260 an hour, and standard deviation of $131 an hour. This is not particularly different from the first pricing survey, which had a total of 146 vaginal intercourse sessions from 27 different customers with 89% of the sessions having a cost rate between $150 to $500 an hour, with average $335 an hour, median $300 an hour, and standard deviation of $140 an hour.
Please understand that these figures are for an hourly rate ; the actual time of a session with a Nevada prostitute may vary widely, from twenty minutes to several hours depending on what the customer contracts for (in time or in specific activities).
As always, the only way you will ever know the actual price that a specific lady will charge you is to step with her into the privacy of her room and negotiate.
Howdy! I'm Bashful, and I love the legal prostitutes that work in the Nevada brothels. Over the years I've gotten loads of e-mail from guys wanting to know about the prices that the legal prostitutes charge, but that can be difficult information to find. Therefore, I conducted an earlier survey to find out what I could, and since late May of 1998 I've been collecting submissions for a second survey, the results of which I will soon report.
However, before I start, I have an apology to make to my friend and "brother", Curious. When I started the second survey I recruited the help of my friend Curious to set up a database for the analysis so that it would be more systematic than my one man show, and he would also be able to cross-check my results. Actually, my intention was for Curious to do the data processing and analysis with me being the backup, however I got lazy about consolidating the e-mail submissions and forwarding them to him, and when I finally did gather up all the submissions I got impatient and decided to just do the analysis myself. However, Curious will still take a look at my work for this second analysis, at his leisure, and any errors I committed he will hopefully catch and correct, so for now the results of this second survey are preliminary only until Curious can proof it. Also, Curious will set up a database so that he or I or anyone else that we can entrust this to can easily update the survey with new submissions, though I'm wondering if that is really necessary.
The survey's results are dependent on the cost per hour for the sessions, rather than the cost alone. Therefore, I asked that for each submitted survey the customer tell me three things, the cost and time of the session, as well as whether or not vaginal intercourse happened. Most submitters did a very good job of giving me that information in a clear and understandable manner, but there were some guys whose submissions were, at best, ambiguous. Most guys remembered exactly what they paid, but their estimates of how long the sessions lasted were vague. Some answers were like "two hours plus" or "between 35 and 45 minutes". Though I can understand that you may not recall exactly how long your sessions lasted, I still need an exact estimate of the time for the analysis and it is better for you to make that estimate than for me (or Curious) to make it for you. In other words, if the estimates of how long your sessions lasted are going to have some sort of bias to them, then it is best that that bias be your bias and not mine!
As was stated in the Executive Summary, 90% of the 202 submitted sessions for vaginal intercourse fell in the range of $150 to $500 an hour. This is a result that is fairly easy to remember and quickly conveys to the brothel newbie the price range that the legal Nevada prostitutes charge, and is almost exactly the same range as from the first survey. The average fell to $301 an hour from $335, and the standard deviation dropped from $140 an hour to $131 an hour. The median for the second survey is about $260 an hour, meaning that half the submissions were less than $260 an hour, and half were above $260 an hour. The median for the first survey was $300 an hour. What this means is that though the results of the two surveys are of course different, they are still very much alike.
There is another part of the survey, however. In addition to the 202 sessions which included vaginal intercourse, there are ten that did not include vaginal intercourse. The average cost per hour for these was $343, with standard deviation $103. Why the cost per hour for non-vaginal intercourse (usually blow-jobs and hand-jobs) is higher than for vaginal intercourse (it was lower in the first survey) is something of a general mystery, except for the obvious reason being that some very high amounts were paid for some of these ten parties and are driving up the average.
If you want to see the raw statistics, you can click here. The average price of a vaginal intercourse party was $391, with standard deviation $317, and the average length of such a party was 1.36 hours with standard deviation 1.30 hours. The fact that the standard deviations of the price and time are almost as large as the averages but the standard deviation for the cost rate is less than half the average for the cost rate shows that there is less variability in the cost rate than in the price or time alone, indicating that the cost rate is more accurately used (meaning less noisy) as a measure of the costs of a party than the raw price alone. Or at least that is how I interpret it.
There was an option given in this pricing survey for the customer to identify which ranch each individual session happened at. Since it was optional, not everyone gave it, but most did (192 out of the 202 sessions, or 95%). The following table gives the ranch name for the first column, then the number of vaginal intercourse sessions that were identified as having happened at that ranch, and then the average cost rate in dollars per hour for that ranch.
| Sheri's Ranch | 07 | 379.8 |
| Chicken Ranch | 19 | 378.6 |
| Cherry Patch Ranch #1 | 03 | 376.4 |

As you can see, the above table is listed in decending order according to cost per hour. Before I go any further, please understand that we are dealing here with very sparse statistics, so estimates of the average cost per hour per brothel have an accuracy that depends on the number of submitted sessions for that brothel. In general, the more sessions that were reported for that brothel the more accurate is the reported average. For instance, only two sessions were reported for the Cherry Patch Ranch #2 but the Sagebrush Ranch #1 had 36 sessions reported, therefore the Sagebrush Ranch #1 average of $374 per hour is almost certainly a much more accurate estimate than the $200 per hour average rate reported for the Cherry Patch Ranch #2.
Since we are dealing with sparse statistics here, I therefore caution the reader to be careful with making comparisons. In general, the ranking of the different ranches in order of average cost per hour makes sense according to my own personal experience and my conversations with others on this subject, so I don't see too many surprises here. My suggestion is that the reader use this table merely as a guide to help identify the expected cost of sex at the different brothels, a guide in conjunction with other information. In other words, don't let that table be your only source of information.
There are extreme limits to how much the reader can use this table to determine the charges that an individual lady will make. Those are merely averages, and in general you will find that the range of prices by different ladies in a given brothel will vary widely, as well will the price that a particular lady will charge different men for the same party. Finally, please be careful in using that table to describe all the ladies of a given brothel as "expensive" or "cheap". The ladies tend to be very sensitive to such descriptions (overly sensitive in my book), so be careful lest you get dragged into a flame war!
After some pondering, I decided that the table made more sense if it were re-ordered as follows :
| Sagebrush Ranch #1 | 36 | 374.2 |
| Kitty's Ranch | 31 | 227.6 |
| Mustang Ranch #1 | 24 | 322.7 |
| Sagebrush Ranch #2 | 20 | 278.1 |
| Chicken Ranch | 19 | 378.6 |
| Mustang Ranch #2 | 16 | 301.3 |
| Old Bridge Ranch | 09 | 214.3 |
| Angel's Ranch | 07 | 177.7 |
| Sheri's Ranch | 07 | 379.8 |
| Moonlight Bunny Ranch | 06 | 314.4 |
| Cherry Patch Ranch #1 | 03 | 376.4 |
| Donna's Ranch | 03 | 254.4 |
| Kit Kat Ranch | 03 | 188.9 |
| Cherry Patch Ranch #2 | 02 | 200.0 |
| Hacienda Sugar Shack Ranch | 02 | 236.9 |
| Pussycat | 02 | 175.0 |
| Green Lantern Ranch | 01 | 313.3 |
| My Place Ranch | 01 | 100.0 |
The above table is exactly the same as the first table except that now it is ranked in descending order according to number of session submissions per ranch. One could see those submissions as votes for each brothel, and the brothel with the most votes can therefore be seen as the most popular. I believe that there are limits to this point of view, especially since the sessions are with individual ladies and not with the brothel itself, but one cannot deny that this ranking does fit in with the general overall popularity of the different ranches, meaning that the more popular ranches with the Internet customers tend to be at the top.
I have a pet theory about the top two ranked brothels (by number of sessions). These sessions are of course being reported by guys on the Internet, and the Sagebrush #1 and Kitty's have been more Internet savy than the other brothels. The Sagebrush #1 had the first online ladies, and had (until Lyon county told them to pull the plug) the best website, and Kitty's actually had an online computer (24 hours a day) for the use of the ladies, thought that too had its pull pulled. I believe, in addition to the fine ladies that work at both establishments, that their early use of the Internet helped put both brothels on top, and the fact that they are right next to each other in real space helped to reinforce the obvious attraction that these ranches have to the Internet savy customer. Of course, that is just my theory, and I have no real proof for it.
Also, it should be noted that this ranking by number of sessions per ranch is not a good measure of how busy the different ranches are. For instance, I'm sure that The Mustang Ranch #1 gets more business than Kitty's!
One thing that you learn in any kind of real-life statistical analysis is that sometimes you have to reject some of the data because it doesn't fit into the study for any of many different reasons. However, though you didn't include it into the study, you still must let it be known that you rejected it and why. I rejected the following submission :
"(name of ranch deleted), September, 1997. 13 hours, (name of first lady deleted), (name of second lady deleted), (name of third lady deleted), and a couple of others. Vaginal intercourse. $14,981.00"
I simply don't know what to do with this submission. How much time was spent with each of the at least five ladies? Were all of them reserved for the full thirteen hours? I could e-mail the author and ask, I suppose, but I prefer to just let it rest, and say that this was the only submission that was kept out of the survey.
It is difficult to know just how accurate this survey is. Many of the customers who submitted information on sessions are regular posters on GP's message board, and many others are infrequent posters. Some of the submissions were from guys that I've never heard of before, but typically they only reported a couple of sessions each and their sessions looked much like most everyone else's, so I doubt that the final analysis could have been much affected by these submissions from unknown contributors. In general I would say that the contributions to this survey are fairly accurate, with no discernible evidence of fraudulent sessions though admittedly it wouldn't be hard to fool me.
There is one obvious bias in this survey, and that is that it only reflects the experiences of Internet customers. For instance, the average length of a session (the vaginal intercourse sessions) for this second pricing survey was 1.36 hours (one hour, 22 minutes). This is, I'm told, a good deal longer than what the average non-Internet customer goes for, but is still shorter than the average party length from the first survey which was 1.95 hours (one hour, 57 minutes) long. I interpret this drop in average party time length, as well as other differences such as the average cost rate drop from $335 to $301 an hour and median cost rate drop from $300 to $260 an hour, as being due to more and more non-Internet customers getting online and participating in the survey. I know of one case where a very involved member of the cyber-community met in a brothel an old-timer who was getting good parties at very low cost, so he encouraged this old-timer to submit his sessions to my survey which now contains ten of his sessions. Then again, there could also be an effect that regular Internet customers are now just going for shorter, lower cost parties than they were before, but I still believe that over time as more and more people become involved with the Internet you will see more and more non-Internet customers get onto the Internet and therefore the differences between the two groups (Internet versus non-Internet customers) will vanish and the two groups will converge. I believe that many of the differences between the first and second pricing surveys are due to this very effect.
Let me put the previous paragraph in a different light. Demographers have noted that over time the average income of people on the Internet has dropped, meaning that the early folk on the Internet tended to be more affluent professional types, but now that the general population is getting online the average Internet user is resembling more and more the average citizen. I believe that to some extent this same effect is present in the differences between the two Internet pricing surveys. For instance, from the first survey the average total amount paid for intercourse was $593, but for the second survey the average was $391, a drop of about $200. Clearly, there is something going on here, and all I'm trying to do is understand it. Please let me know what your theories are.
Though I've already said it, it is worth repeating. The median amount being paid per hour is $260. That means that half of the sessions reported are going for less than $260 for an honest-to-goodness full hour of intercourse. Many (myself included) criticized the first survey because it seemed that it was dominated by some very expensive parties, more so than seemed to be the norm. I am not so sure that that is a valid criticism for this second survey.
My intention all along has been to let this survey continue and update it as more submissions trickle in, but my thinking now is to just stop it and do a third survey in a year or two. Let me know what you think.
Be seeing you.
