SUMMARY : AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LYON COUNTY CODE TITLE 5, CHAPTER 3, TO ALLOW THE LYON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO SET ALL FEES ASSOCIATED WITH BROTHELS BY RESOLUTION WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.

TITLE : AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LYON COUNTY CODE TITLE 5, CHAPTER 3, TO PROVIDE THE LYON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WITH THE POWER TO SET BROTHEL INVESTIGATION AND LICENSE FEES BY RESOLUTION WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE ; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that typewritten copies of the above-numbered and entitled ordinance are available for inspection by all interested parties at the Office of the Lyon County Clerk, at her office in the Joe Parr Annex, Lyon County Courthouse, Yerington, Nevada, and that said ordinance was proposed by Commissioner Dallas on the 16th day of June, 1994, and was passed on the 21st day of July, 1994, by the following vote of the Board of Lyon County Commissioners :

TITLE : AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LYON COUNTY CODE TITLE 5, CHAPTER 3, TO PROVIDE THE LYON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WITH THE POWER TO SET BROTHEL INVESTIGATION AND LICENSE FEES BY RESOLUTION WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE ; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO.

THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LYON COUNTY, NEVADA, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN :

Section 1 : Title 5, Chapter 03, subsection 07.A is hereby amended to read as follows :

A. Investigation Fee : All license applications under the provisions of this chapter shall be filed with the County Clerk, along with the full investigation fee which will be set by the Board by resolution and is subject to change without any prior notice to potential applicants.

Section 2 : Title 5, Chapter 03, subsection 08.A is hereby amended to read as follows :

A. LICENSE FEES ESTABLISHED : Every licensed operation shall pay licensing fees per quarter, in advance of July 1, October 1, January 1, and April 1 of each year, for the privilege of operating a house of prostitution in the County. The Board will set licensing fees by resolution and such fees are subject to change without prior notice to license holders.

License fees shall be paid to the County Clerk, quarterly, for deposit with the County Treasurer, to be credited to the Building or Capital Acquisition fund.
